How do I import my existing library?
Open Settings → Import CSV and choose your export file. Everlune reads CSV exports from Goodreads, StoryGraph, Bookshelf, and similar apps — bringing across titles, authors, ratings, shelves, and dates.
Which iPhones support the Dynamic Island reading timer?
The reading-session Live Activity needs iOS 16.1 or later. It appears on the Lock Screen on all supported iPhones, and in the Dynamic Island on iPhone 14 Pro and newer.
The timer isn't showing in the Dynamic Island — why?
Make sure Live Activities are enabled in Settings → Everlune → Live Activities, then start a reading night from any book. Everlune will nudge you with a shortcut if they're turned off.
How do I add the widgets?
Touch and hold your Home Screen or Lock Screen, tap ＋ / Edit, search for Everlune, and add the widget you like. It shows your current book and progress.
How do I lock the app with Face ID?
Go to Settings → Privacy → FaceID / Passcode lock and turn it on. Authentication is handled by iOS — Everlune never sees your biometrics.
Does Everlune work offline?
Yes — completely. Everlune needs no internet to track, log, or view your library. The only thing that uses the network is loading book cover images; when you're offline (or a cover isn't found), Everlune shows a beautiful generated placeholder instead.
Where is my data stored, and is it backed up?
Your library lives entirely on your device. It's included in your normal encrypted Apple backups (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) based on your iOS settings. You can also export your whole library from Settings at any time.
How do I move to a new iPhone?
Restore your new phone from your iCloud or computer backup and your Everlune library comes with it. You can also export from your old phone and re-import on the new one.
A book has no cover, or the wrong one — can I fix it?
Covers are matched from Open Library by ISBN. If one is missing, Everlune shows a deterministic celestial placeholder with the title. You can edit a book's details from its page.
How do I delete my data?
Remove individual books from their detail page, or delete the app to erase everything from your device. Since nothing is stored on our side, there's nothing else to clear.
